(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – The Choices Emergency Response Team (CERT), which serves individuals and families struggling with substance use, has won the 2020 Service Provider of the Year award from Mental Health America of Northeast Indiana (MHANI).

The annual award goes to an organization that has made a significant positive change for its clients, employees, or other populations in its community related to mental health, addictions, peer support and/or community health work. MHANI will host a virtual award ceremony for CERT and other award winners on May 27.

“We are so thankful that Mental Health America of Northeast Indiana has recognized CERT’s hard work, passion, and dedication to helping members of our community achieve lasting recovery,” said Michael Goldberg, CEO of Choices Coordinated Care Solutions.

CERT is one of the programs offered by Choices Coordinated Care Solutions and is funded by grants from the Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction and the Indiana State Department of Health. It is a mobile, community-based team of specialists that responds 24/7 to individuals and families experiencing challenges with substance use, such as opioid addiction and overdoses.

The program also provides recovery support when there is not a crisis and connects individuals with resources such as: detox, inpatient and outpatient care, support groups, medication-assisted treatment, and other services that support long-term recovery. CERT is available in the following Indiana counties: Decatur, Jefferson, Ripley, Switzerland, Ohio, Dearborn, Franklin, Fayette, and Wayne.

Call 317-205-8302 or email cert@choicesccs.org if you are someone you care about lives in these areas and needs recovery support.
