Ohio Choices

OhioRISE (Resilience through Integrated Systems and Excellence) is Ohio’s first highly integrated care program for youth with complex behavioral health and multi-system needs. The initiative is a statewide effort to provide community-oriented care for youth with intensive behavioral and mental health challenges.

OhioRISE is governed by the Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM), the Governor’s Office of Children’s Initiatives, and Ohio’s Family and Children First Cabinet Council. In 2021, ODM selected Aetna Better Health of Ohio to serve as the OhioRISE managed care plan. The goal of OhioRISE is to keep more families together by helping them access in-home and community-based services.

In 2022, OhioRISE selected Choices as a Care Management Entity (CME) to provide wraparound services in Preble and Montgomery Counties. Choices is currently hiring staff and partnering with local providers. Our network will support youth and families who are navigating multiple systems like mental health, child protection, education, and juvenile justice
