Choices Coordinated Care Solutions Receives Nearly $1M Grant from Lilly Endowment Inc.

Choices has received a $995,000 grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to help support our programs serving youth in Indiana facing significant behavioral and emotional challenges.

The grant awarded to us is funded through Lilly Endowment’s initiative, Strengthening Youth Programs in Indiana. The aim of the competitive initiative is to help youth-serving organizations working throughout Indiana improve their abilities to promote the academic, physical, and social well-being of young people, ages five through 18.

This generous contribution will help strengthen our Indiana programs that serve youth facing significant challenges like mental health disorders, abuse, neglect, and trauma. This funding will help Choices invest in infrastructure, leadership development, and the overall experience of our employees by creating a more inclusive environment with an enhanced sense of belonging.

Choices CEO Melissa Norman stated, “We are proud to be one of the distinguished organizations named to be a SYPI grant recipient and look forward to putting these dollars to work so that we can build a stronger, more resilient organization that can serve Hoosier youth for many years to come.”

Choices is one of 187 organizations receiving a grant through Strengthening Youth Programs in Indiana

“Indiana’s youth-serving organizations are crucial to the healthy development of children and youth across the state,’ said Ted Maple, Lilly Endowment’s vice president for education. “The challenges these organizations have faced in meeting the needs of young people in recent years have made their work increasingly difficult. Lilly Endowment is pleased to support their efforts to strengthen programs and serve more youth more effectively.”

Lilly Endowment launched Strengthening Youth Programs in Indiana Initiative in 2022 with an invitational round of grants to nine national youth-serving organizations to help them expand and enhance the work of their Indiana affiliates or chapters.
